Some things need to happen in a certain order.
For example, if you're going to write fiction, there are things you need to do before you see your book on a store's shelf.
You need to research your subject if you aren't familiar with it. Some people need to outline what they're going to write. You have to actually write your novel. You have to reread your work. You have to edit. You have to share.
You have a lot of things to do. Don't just write a book and expect that you can submit it for publishing the next day.
There are a lot of resources out there to help you figure out every step and how to accomplish them.
Just remember that you need a little patience as you work through the process. And then, get to putting your all into every one of those steps.
