When you want to sell a bike, saying you've got a bike for sale is the best way to get someone's attention. You could say that you have a "two wheeled foot-powered vehicle to vend," but why would you?
The same thing can be said for your writing.
When you have a message you want to get across, most of the time, using simple, specific words are the best way to get the job done.
The simple words will get people's attention. The simple words will get the point across without forcing the reader to stop to understand what you’re saying. The simple words will have someone read the next sentence.
Simple is best. Write every one of your sentences as though you're trying to sell it to someone.
