If you are looking back at your initial words over and over again, editing and tweaking and reconsidering, you're never going to get to the next words that are required.
Editing is a very important part of the writing process. It's essential to making sure that your story is understandable. But, it's a really good way to never get your writing done too.
Write your first draft, then worry about the edit after. Otherwise, you’ll have some really good first sentences, and nothing that comes after.
