If you're having a hard time completing your story, there are a lot of ways that you can get yourself moving forward once again.
You can look at the last place in your book that was working and see if you took a wrong turn there.
You can throw a new obstacle at your protagonist to see where that will lead your tale.
You can leave your story in a drawer for a day or too, just to help your ideas move around.
Here's another approach to add to your considerations: look at your format.
Are you stuck because your novel doesn’t have enough meat and should be a short story? Are you writing a mystery that should really be a drama? Are you writing for teenagers when you should be writing for middle graders?
There are a lot of things that can go wrong in your story and many that can help as well. Take a look at your story format while you're looking at everything else about your story to make sure that you’re on the right track.
