You've got a lot of competition

Sometimes, you read a book and think: I could have done better than this. I have a story that is more interesting and better written.

So you decide that you story is ready because you are better than one book.

You need to remember, though, one book isn't the only competition you have.

There are millions of novels out there that are trying to be published along with yours. So, you don't just have to be better than the worst book you’ve ever read. You have to be better than all the other options that are out there.

Don't stop working on your novel just because you think it's better than one other book. Work on your novel until you believe it's the best you can make it. And then, go get published.
