Why your fears help

Everyone has concerns.

Even the most confident person does.

And, while that’s good to know to keep your confidence up, it’s also good to know to make your characters relatable.

It doesn’t matter if your character is a superstar, an alien, or someone from a completely different time period, they have concerns. And they have some of the same concerns as your readers.

Fear that their children aren’t okay. Fear that their health is deteriorating. Fear that they’re going to get fired.

There are fears that all of us have. Use them to make your characters relatable, however different their reality is from that of your readers.
