Have you ever visited a website and had your visit interrupted by a pop-up asking you to subscribe before going forward.
How many of these do you dismiss?
More importantly, why.
Think about this little pop-up as equivalent to your elevator pitch.
What would you write about your novel that would get someone to subscribe? What would you say that would have people clicking and staying connected? What words would you bold to keep people online?
Sometimes, you have as much time to convince someone to publish or buy your book as an online ad has to move you forward.
Figure out what you would put into that little box.
