Write characters you can't let go

Some characters have to be likeable. Some have to be scary. Some have to help your protagonist find their way.

There are all kinds of characters that are required in a story and all kinds of ways you want your readers to feel about your characters.

The most important thing, however, is that you want characters that your readers won't forget. You want characters that will hold on to your readers after they've finished the last page.

Create characters that stay with you when you put the pen down and you'll be that much closer to creating characters that will stay with your readers and make sure they turn the page to see what happens next.
