Make sure that you've written everything in the same tense. Make sure that you haven't mixed up your characters' names. Make sure that you don't have any typos.

Editing doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to be slow and thorough. So, don't be intimidated by the task. Just be ready to give it the time it requires.
