Write some body language

We say a lot through our body language.

If your arms are crossed, you are most likely not receptive to whoever you are interacting with.

If you scrunch up against one end of the couch, you are most likely trying to get far away from whatever is near the other end.

If your jaw is clenched, you're stressed or angry.

Without even realizing it, we read and give off body language all the time. Make sure your characters do that too.

How your characters stand, move, and gesture is a reflection of how they feel and how they are. It can demonstrate confidence, ease, or anger. It can show elation, fear, or horror.

Body language is a great tool to convey something to your readers without having to write down your characters' exact thoughts. Make sure you use it in your writing.
