There are many things that you do every day and probably take for granted.
Getting out of bed. Eating a meal. Taking a shower…
There are a lot of things that you do and that have become automatic.
If you're going to write about these actions—have your characters experience them—don't take for granted that you know them as well as you think do.
What noises do you hear when you're stretching for the first time in the morning? What does it feel like to eat? What does a shower smell like?
You do these things every day, but you probably rarely think about them. Do them again slowly to really understand how they feel, sound, smell, taste, and look. You never know what detail you might find that will be perfect for your story.
