There are a lot of options out there if you want to watch reality TV. Maybe too many options.
Love them or hate them, they exist and don't seem to be going anywhere.
If you find yourself hypnotized by one of these shows at some point, there is something you can learn from these.
You can tell pretty quickly who you are going to like and who you're going to hate on these shows. With very little words, you can find the true nature of people calling to you.
You don't need the obvious things to make these calls. No one kicks a puppy. No one pushes someone down the stairs. No one does anything that a silent movie villain would do, but you still know how you feel about them.
Don't hesitate to learn from this.
How can you make your characters as loveable or as hateable simply by their actions? Maybe, there's something there that will make sure you don't resort to cliches to have readers understand who your story's villain is.
