Quit just a little

Sometimes you want to quit.

Your story isn't working. Or your mind just wants to wander. Or you just can't figure out what the next plot point is.

Quitting on a story just seems like the best way forward.

Remember, however, that you don't have to forever quit.

Take a break from your story to write something else. Take a walk and come back to your writing. Write some poetry until you're ready to get back to prose.

Sometimes, the only way to get back into your writing is to get out of it for a little while. Just make sure that you don't forget to come back.
