Writing a memoir should be easy.
You've lived the story, so it should be easy for you to write it out, right? You don't need to make anything up or to think of ways for your character to grow.
Well, that might sound simple, but in reality, writing a memoir has its own complexities that make it as hard as writing any other genre.
You might not have to make anything up, but you'll have to decide which parts you include and which you leave out. You'll likely have to face some truths and memories that you would rather keep to yourself. You're going to have to find some exciting event to start your story. You're going to have to bring descriptions to events that happened years ago.
There are a lot of complexities to writing a memoir. Just because making up the story isn't one of them, that doesn't mean everything will just fall in place.
So, if you're writing a memoir, accept the fact that you're undertaking a hard task. And then sit your butt down and get to writing.
