For some of us, writing is what we think we do best. It's that thing that we always go back to when the rest of the world is confusing, because it's a safe haven.
Just because it's something we're good at or comfortable with doesn’t mean that we should take it for granted, however.
You don't know everything about writing just because you do it a lot or because it comes easy. You still have much to learn, and you always will. Particularly, when it comes to those really technical aspects of writing.
Open those grammar books when you aren't sure if you're following the right rule. Consider the advice that is given to you by editors. Listen to the readers that tell you a sentence is confusing.
Don't have a grammar ego. Remain a grammar lover and student forever. It'll make your writing grammatically correct.
