Getting a writing job can be hard. Losing it, pretty darn easy.
One of the best ways to get booted from a job is to ignore the deadlines you're given.
While most people try to be understanding, deadline are set for a reason. What you're writing might be required to plan spacing, find accompanying images, or just get on the page in time for delivery of a product.
While procrastination is easy, it can lead to you losing offers for writing jobs in the future or tarnishing your professional reputation.
If you've managed to get a gig you like, make sure not to lose it simply because you didn't take a deadline seriously.
